I am still working on this tier. I have a lot of work with school so it is slow going.
Photos and videos of the library before the shooting - There are some photos of the Columbine High School library before 4.20.99. I only have a copy of one of them but I cannot find it. When i do I will upload it and link it here. It is two girls sitting at a table near the windows and you can see out and the mountains in the distance. I know there are probably many many more pictures and videos showing the library before 4.20.99 but I cannot seem to wrangle any of them up. Send me them if you find any.
"don't get dead" - I believe that this is in reference to a note that Eric wrote into the yearbook of Sarah Leary. The passage can be seen HERE. Leary was a junior while Eric was a senior. he wrote a few interesting things in her yearbook. The first is "don't get dead" in regards to her summer. I assume this was just Eric using his own way of telling her to be safe. Some people have theorized that perhaps Eric was subtly insinuating that he wanted her to survive what he had planned but that wouldn't make too much sense in my opinion because he wrote this in the spring of 1998. He also wrote "natural selection needs a boost, like me with a shotgun." That one definitely came to fruition. These seem like such "Eric" things to write and I wonder exactly what kind of relationship he and Leary had. She has an interesting story as she saw Eric at Columbine High School at 7:30am on the morning of 4.20.99. She said says he gave her a casual hug and he asked why she was all dressed up as she was going somewhere on a field trip that morning. Leary and Eric walked into the school together and then went opposite directions once inside. This was about half an hour before he went to the Texaco station to buy the propane tanks. Leary described what Eric was wearing to police and it was consistent with what he was seen wearing in the Texaco security footage. Eric was not carrying a backpack or anything else she could see. As far as I understand, nobody knows what Eric was doing at the school at this time, besides innocently and normally interacting with girls. Leary did not return from her field trip until about 11:15 when the attack was beginning.
After Eric shot someone, Dylan went to check up on the body - Reb
Dylan used Eric - Nobody really knows the true power dynamic between Eric and Dylan. Probably the most common theory is that Eric was the leader and Dylan was the follower. In my humble opinion Eric was the the more powerful person in the duo. He was a natural leader and I think it shows.
Eric pretended the victims were DOOM enemies - This has been a somewhat common myth or thought since early on. Eric was very active in the Doom community and he often spoke of it. He designed levels and even wore clothing related to it. There is also the fact that he named his shotgun Arlene, after a character from the Doom series. I do not give this idea too much credence. I do think that Eric probably had thought about what was going to happen through the lens of Doom. However, during the actual events on 4.20.99 I do not believe that he actually thought about Doom a single time.
Eric and Dylan observed in the cafeteria before the massacre with a map of the room with CCTV camera marked - I remember hearing a rumor about this somewhere but I cannot find it now. From what I remember someone claims they found a map of the cafeteria in Eric's bedroom with the locations of the cameras mapped out. Now, when it comes to the idea that Eric scouted the location with the attack in mind, that is definite. He even drew rough layouts and times as seen HERE. Obviously Eric planned extensively for 4.20.99 including scouting and observations of the school. I have not seen any evidence he had a map that had the CCTV cameras on it. Plus, he never really acts in any way as if he is aware of the cameras at all... at least in the footage we have.
"Wanna go shooting? - Maybe tomorrow..." - Reb
Victims predicting their own deaths - O boy. This is a mega rabbit hole and probably will take me a while to flesh out.
"wake me up in anarchy" - This is in reference to a lyric in the song Anarchy by KMFDM. I have been trying to find where Eric may have said or written this line but I have not found it yet.
gribsoteur - u/gribsoteur was/is a user on Reddit who made the claim that he had met up with Eric and Dylan a few times before the 1998/1999 school year. His claims can be found HERE. He says that he used a bulletin board system in the late 90s to comment with kids his own age to play games like Quake and Doom. He claims he played with a person named rebeldoomer often and eventually exchanged phone numbers to talk and play direct over modem. He claims to have met up with Eric and "Eric's Friend" who went by the name of VoDkA. (Which actually is the correct way that Dylan spelled it. If he was smart he would have capitalized the D and the K for his initials) He goes on to say the three of them went to a LAN party together at some point set up by members of the BBS. u/gribsoteur says that he lost touch with Eric over senior year and didn't hear of him again until the events of 4.20.99. It is definitely plausible that this story is 100% true.... but I kind of doubt it. My guess is that this person is/was someone who had an interest in Columbine and used common knowledge about Eric and Dylan to craft a story to impress people on the internet. The account is still active on Reddit and I reached out to them but never heard anything back. Will update this entry if I hear anything.
E+D wanted to get caught - This is a pretty common thing that I have heard over the years. People will pick up on some small thing or things that Eric or Dylan did that may have increased the chances they would be discovered before 4.20.99 and blow it up into some grand idea that they were trying to get caught. I do not believe it for a second and I truly believe that what happened was inevitable. Eric understood this and that his thoughts on wanted to being caught or not were irrelevant. Many people talk about teh self
Dude look at that guys dick! - This is in reference to a claim made by library survivor Amanda Stair. As far as I can tell it is not recorded in any official documents. She makes the claim that Dylan said "dude, look at this guys dick" in her series of YouTube videos recounting her experiences. They can be found HERE. I suppose that could be something that Dylan plausibly said on 4.20.99. Without any evidence it is difficult to say.
E+D were disappointed with the massacre and regretted it - I think there is no doubt that the attack on 4.20.99 did not go exactly as planned.

"Well you know, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter" - I believe this is in reference to a conversation that Eric had with Brooks Brown on the morning of 4.20.99. Brown was giving Eric a hard time about missing a test and Eric responded by saying "Well you know, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter." This was before he told Brown to leave the school because he likes him now. I think at this point Eric was locked in and was annoyed that Brooks was bothering him with such low level stuff.
