Susan DeWitt Letter

Susan DeWitt (PHOTO HERE) was a junior at Columbine High School in 1999 and a friend of Eric. DeWitt and Eric spent prom night together watching movies and spending time in his bedroom. While she has said they were never more intimate than a kiss on the cheek, it is obvious that DeWitt cared greatly for Eric. According to the Sheriff "Susan and Eric began knowing each other in January of 1999. They worked at the same strip mall. Susan would go in to Blackjack to pick up orders for Great Clips. The spoke occasionally, with Susan stating he seemed “really nice.” Around this time Susan became aware they both went to CHS. He found out her name and asked friends of hers around school if she liked him, in particular her friend Megan Ledsack. He stopped by Great Clips a couple of times to see her (other workers at Great Clips must have told her)." 

A year after the events of 4.20.99 DeWitt wrote a letter to Eric that was then published in the Denver Post.
